Valentine’s Show Excites The Coast

South African piano sensation Rocco de Villiers lit up The Dome Swakopmund on this year’s Valentine’s Day, as his mesmerizing performance kept the capacity crowd on the edges of their seats.

“The event was a success from the beginning to the end. Rocco really put up a grand show for us”, Christine Visser, head of the organising committee, said.

De Villiers, a native of the Free State Province in neighboring South Africa, didn’t take long to get his performance underway in the state-of-the-art Conference Centre, overlooking the mighty Atlantic Ocean. Before an official introduction, he jumped and stage and directly got his fingers on the keyboard, as an awe-struck crowd joined the chorus with enthusiastic hand-clapping.

One of de Villiers other trademarks, his love and gift for comedy, then highlighted his intro, with the attendees having tears rolling down their cheeks from laughter.

The show then continued well into the night, making a great case for another show soon.

What made the evening even more special was, that a share of the money raised through ticket sales went to Children Fighting Cancer in Namibia (CHICA).
